It was to the store and I was scared to death, but you stepped up to the social obligation of being out in public. Huge relief!

I do not miss diapers and I do not miss being spit up on and I do not miss having to get up five times a night and I do not miss screaming. Your father once asked me if I thought there would *ever* be a day in your life when you didn't cry -- and then came eight more fine sets of lungs.

But I *do* miss having that flock of little children around. Even though I know I no longer have the stamina or the patience, and even though I really enjoy the freedom of being past the kid-rearing stage -- still: bedtime stories, Sesame Street, Fisher-Price 'peoples,' silly songs, all those cute little faces ... sniff!

And if you have 15 years before Lyndsay makes you a grandmother, I'll be oh-so-very-surprised!YogaNanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03578904073378923196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1972912984919271871.post-35565050557528971292009-09-23T20:34:19.519-07:002009-09-23T20:34:19.519-07:00My sister in law is done having kids and has peace...My sister in law is done having kids and has peace with it. So much, in fact, that she has no more longing for a baby in the house. I envy her. I am pretty certain that I will be like you. Once my babies grow up I will mourn for a long, long time.Rachel Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14426183215612921121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1972912984919271871.post-13293239147762348722009-09-23T14:02:04.229-07:002009-09-23T14:02:04.229-07:00started to potty train my youngest, too. same mix...started to potty train my youngest, too. same mixed feelings. It was hard, but it was cool.

Leaving the baby phase behind is great, but just a little bit sad, too.Donhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17369952902975144773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1972912984919271871.post-54274800034488218892009-09-23T08:29:39.821-07:002009-09-23T08:29:39.821-07:00Oh!
