Things I Love

Valentine's Day is my second favorite holiday. Nobody better screw it up for me this year. And with today being the first day of Valentine's Month, I've been thinking of some things that I love. And maybe you love some of these things too!

1. Clean bathrooms
2. Clean stovetop
3. Freshly shampooed carpets
4. A swept off patio
5. Raked and mowed grass
6. Flowers, but especially tulips
7. Really nice pajamas
8. Any book by Carol Lynn Pearson
9. Any book by Richard Paul Evans
10. Puffy Cheetos
11. Ben and Jerry
12. Freshly colored hair
13. A new haircut
14. Getting a pedicure
15. When all the laundry is folded
16. Listening to Hilary Weeks sing live
17. Laughing with Amber
18. Laughing with Adam
19. Clean sheets, high thread count
20. Buying books
21. An unexpected check in the mail
22. A clean car
23. Eating in bed while watching a movie with Adam
24. Art by Liz Lemon Swindle
25. Anything Noah's Ark
26. The color red
27. Rainy days
28. Cinnabon
29. Chick-fil-A
30. Chocolate almost anything
31. Singing karaoke with my family
32. Packages in the mail
33. Love letters
34. Massages

There! That's a good start! And if you're here, reading my blog, then I love YOU too!

I love all your clean ones. I love it better when someone else makes it that way. I am in a place now where I spend a lot of time driving children. My children are in a place where they can manage a home. My oldest does most of the cleaning. It is so nice to have the place clean. I do my own sheets, and just love to climb in, especially when they have dried on the line. I have never had a pedicure. I love getting things in the mail, expected or otherwise (good things that is). I also like to buy books. A great list for Valentines month.

I love a lot of those things too, especially if the ones involving cleaning are done by someone else! I also read your 100 things (yes, all 100!) BTW I'm here via Holly (above).

I am so shocked, Jenna. I hate Valentines. You can never get a good restaurant, a babysitter or a good gift idea for the DH. Why do you like it?

Jenna, I guess I love it because I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. I've never even had a really good Valentine's Day in my life, but every year I hope for one, and I love hoping. I love love. I love hearing love stories, I love to dream of love. I love all the fun "lovey" things to do to make Valentine's fun for kids. (I always make pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast, and we have a big workshop with all the kids making their own Valentine's...none of those store-bought ones!) I love to make candy bar cards for my husband, and to dream about what he might surprise me with if we were rich, or all the sweet things he might say in a love letter IF he wrote love letters. I just love the idea of a whole day celebrating LOVE. I think it's refreshing.

OH, Jenna. You ARE a hopeless romantic! I am too, but in different ways, like those long windswept walks that the women of Jane Austen's novels take while they pine over their unrequited love...
But I really liked your list and I hope you get your perfect Valentine's day!

This is a great list! And such a great way to think about Valentine's Day. I love the idea of a Valentine's Month and focusing on all the things that I love in my life. I too, need to make a list. Mine would be very similar to yours! It's the simple good things in life that make me the happiest! I hope that you have a very Happy Valentine's Month!

I LOVE Chick-fil-A, clean things and love letters! I too love Valentine's day and never had a good one until I met my husband.. he tries every year to WOW me and has succeeded almost every year. I am sooo lucky! Don't anyone hate me. :)
