She likes me! She really likes me! Misty, over at Rainy Day in May, tagged me for this fun meme. You know the one. The 7 random things meme. This morning, seven seems so daunting a number, but let's see if I can pull it together.
1. I generally do not care for fruit-y desserts. I love apple pie, but I'll eat that for breakfast. I'd rather have a Snicker's sundae for dessert.
2. I cannot drive a stick shift.
3. I'm comfortable with never riding on a roller coaster again. Once you've had dental work and neck pain, roller coasters are more trouble than they're worth. But I'll happily walk the theme parks with my thrill-seeking children.
4. I got to have my first commercial audition last week! Completely a fluke, I was there at the casting place with Adam while he was at a call-back, and as I was gawking at the unbelievably beautiful, soap-opera-like bombshells in every direction, a casting director approached me while I played with Conor off to the side. He asked if I was an actress and if I was here for his Advil audition. No. Had I ever done acting before? No. How old is Conor? 2. Would he and I like to try? Well, sure, why not. So we did. I'm sure we won't be the new Advil reps, but it was fun to see what it's all like in Adam's world.
5. I can't stop thinking about Stephanie and Christian Nielsen. I think about them and pray for them many times each day. Also, Scott and Carol Decker.
6. I am not as disciplined or as organized as I like to give myself credit for, and the older I get, the more of a slacker I become. This is not good. My house used to be immaculate. Now, it's just tidy. I think I used to have a lot more energy too, but I'm too tired to think back that far.
7. I don't have matching bowls anymore. While I used to pride myself on lovely table settings, now it's more of a hodge-podge.
Thanks, Misty! Hope this isn't too lame! Now, I tag:
My mom, because I love learning new things about her, even though she probably hates memes.
Abby, cause she's got a fascinating life, (don'tcha, sis?)
My buddy Angela--have you ever done a meme?
Laurie, cause she's not busy enough
and Raelene. Please play!

of course i like you...
but seriously, I can't drive a stick shift either...
And I LOVE hodge podge dishes...
And... Oh yeah, the roller coaster thing. I LOVED them. LOVED THEM, and then after my hysterectomy i started having a ton of migraine issues and they would induce them big time. i still love the atmosphere of a theme part but I'm more than happy to not ride but my family whines about it just the same.
I know, I know...I should be on the topic here, but I'm having one of my A.D.D. moments. Jenna dear, just where in the LA area are you at? Drop me a note at: loren@ghostlight.net and let me know, ok?
What a neat experience to be able to audition!
I'm with you on the deserts and the stick shift and hodge-podge dishes.
Roller coasters though? I luuurve roller coasters! Woot!
well I pretty much found out about the whole roller coaster thing in Vegas !!! We need to take another trip soon by the way. Its been way too long.
Aww crap Jen! I'll try but can't right now. I'm supposed to be making dinner.
Let us know if the commerical works out--and you don't like fruity desserts? They're my favorite, except for apple pie, that's the last thing I'd pick :-) Guess we're not sharing the same brain today
Gee, I'd love to play but I don't know how to link to a blog within a blog, and since those are two of the rules ...
:o)
Mom
I came over here a while ago and left you a long reply to this post and then it didn't post and I didn't have time to repost it so I'm finally back over here and I'm going to do this post right now. Thanks for the tag. And I never seem to get tired of learning new things about you. Fun post. I hate cooked apple anything but I love to justify my love of deserts by adding some fruit and calling it healthy. I don't know if I like roller coasters anymore. I used to but the last time I rode one was in high school before my body got older and less tolerant of unnesessary pain. Congratulations on your audition. What a fun experience for you and Conor. I just threw another cracked dish away last night. My matching set keeps getting smaller. I used to try to keep my house spotless, mostly because I grew up in a home that wasn't spotless and I was out to prove something to my mom(who had 10 children). Now that I have 6 children, a spotless house is not high on my priority list. It definately has to be organized and it's clean to the point of feeling sanitary, but I want our home to be lived in, not tip-toed around. Also, every choice we make is at the expense of something else. I choose to spend time with my kids, not cleaning my house. You are a great mother, friend, teacher, wife, sister, etc. I think you should give yourself more credit. Fun post and I talked way too much. Sorry!
