Aiden brought a friend home from school today, his best friend Zack, who's here several times each week. They were excited about an upcoming field trip. To the grocery store.
"Von's?" I asked. "You're going to Von's for a field trip?"
"Yeah! And we get to go backstage!" says Zack.
"Backstage? It's the grocery store."
"Yeah, backstage, where all the boxes and produce are!"
Oh my gosh! What will you wear?
Is it bad that I'm sniggering a bit?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll get to throw cardboard down into the compressor. That would be exciting. . . and a liability
ReplyDeleteahhhhh hahahahah I'm crackin up! That's just precious. Can you imagine signing that permission slip? "What do you mean can you go to the grocery store? Of course you can! And while you're there why don't you pick me up a few things?" hahahahah
ReplyDeleteIf he goes backstage, he can learn where fruits and veggies come from. My genius. I love you.
ReplyDeleteDad
too funny!
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is, I helped arrange for a simliar "exotic outing" to our local Whole foods for my moms group & a bunch of kidlets years ago. It was quite the adventure and the free cookies were a bonus. ;)
And people say today's youth are hard to entertain......
ReplyDeleteAround here they've been taking field trips to the pet supply shop. It's pathetic really. Where are the trips to the museum and the zoo?
