Bona Fortuna

Good fortune for the past week:

1. After feeling very depressed all summer about the state of my carpets, a friend let me borrow her steam cleaner and now everywhere I look is clean! (as long as I'm looking down) I LOVE clean carpets, almost as much as I love my children. I hope someday Santa can bring me my very own carpet cleaning machine! Bissell ProHeat Advantage=TRUE LOVE.

2. Yesterday I went grocery shopping and thanks to helpful tips from coupon guru Hannah, and careful organization and strategy, I bought $451 of groceries and only paid $229! I love it!

3. I have increased my yogic capacity Beryl Bender Birch style from 14 minutes to 36 minutes, and did not throw up!

4. I have met some very cool, very fun new blogging friends, thanks to a shout out from Josi Kilpack about my "Towering Above the Masses" post, and Candace Salima's LDS Blog Ring, and the very addictive and hip cre8buzz site! There's too many of you to name, but thanks for looking twice, you super-cool gals!

hi jenna:
thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog tonight. i wish you had your email enabled, otherwise, i would've responded to you via email.

i am so thrilled you sent me a note tonight. i have been hoping to hear from you ever since i first read your "towering ... " post the other night. you captivated me, you got my attention, you melted my heart with your story, with your honesty. you made me cry, good stuff, not bad crying. you have a beautiful heart and i am glad for you that you gave that guy a chance past the first conversation. and what your dad said to you, wow, just awesome. thanks for sharing such a tender experience.

blessings this night to you and your fam, kathleen

ps. and you cracked me up when i read your comment on josi's blog about husbands and how you said you're also gives great backrubs and you better stop talking because people will start feeling bad! that was funny! you made me snicker. okay, nighty-night.

Congrats on increasing your yoga. I haven't quite reach that point yet (my bum knee keeps getting in the way.) But I am walking most mornings and nights . . . so you inspired me.

And no problem, Blogland is a pretty cool place to support one another.

I'm getting my carpets cleaned this morning--I should probably buy a cleaner and do it myself, but, well, I'm lazy. Clean carpets are the bomb though! congrats on the yoga--I've got to get off my butt one of these days. I'm actually looking up this program you mentioned.

You're da bomb, chicka
